Committee approves Fiscal Manager and Contract Monitor positions to handle grants and transit responsibilities
The committee voted to create one Fiscal Manager (Grade 15) and one Contract Monitor (Grade 14), both included in the 2026 operating budget; Alan J. Sorensen said the roles will help align responsibilities for grants and Transportation Transit work.

Robert C. Sassi moved to create one Fiscal Manager (Grade 15) and one Contract Monitor (Grade 14); Michael L. Essig seconded the motion. Alan J. Sorensen, FAICP, said the department has been "trying to better align the positions in the department and sort out the responsibilities for the people involved, especially when it comes to grants," and that both positions were approved in the 2026 budget.
