Orange County forms Transportation Task Force to explore transit improvements

The committee, composed of county legislators representing Districts 6, 11 and 12, will act in an advisory capacity and work with the county Department of Transportation.
Hill said the county already has a transit system that services Newburgh, Middletown and Port Jervis and that the task force's immediate work is to understand current services and identify incremental improvements. The committee recorded attendance and noted several absent legislators; members agreed to solicit resident input to inform next steps and partnership opportunities with other agencies.
