Orange County forms Transportation Task Force to explore transit improvements
Orange County legislators launched a Transportation Task Force to study county transit needs and collaborate with the Department of Transportation; Chairwoman Gabrielle Hill said the advisory group will learn from residents and build partnerships to improve service in Newburgh, Middletown and Port Jervis.

Chairwoman Gabrielle Hill opened the Transportation Task Force meeting and read a committee statement that framed the group's purpose: "We the TTF are committed to learning from our constituents and exploring the possibilities of what a robust transit system could look like." The committee, composed of county legislators representing Districts 6, 11 and 12, will act in an advisory capacity and work with the county Department of Transportation.
