Parowan planning commission backs permit exemption for routine reroofing
The commission recommended that the city council exempt simple reroofing from building-permit requirements when the roof structure, shape or loads are unchanged and when no more than two asphalt shingle layers remain.

The Parowan Planning & Zoning Commission voted July 15 to recommend that the city council adopt an update to PCMC 10.01.020 to exempt routine reroofing from a building permit when the work does not alter a roof’s structure, shape or pitch.
