Lincoln County OKs conditional-use permit for helium extraction facility
The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners approved a conditional-use permit for a 40' x 50' helium extraction building on North Birdwood Road, finding the proposal conforms with county zoning, subdivision regulations and the comprehensive plan; Commissioner Wuehler abstained from the vote.

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners on July 27 adopted Resolution No. 2026-23 approving a conditional-use permit for a helium extraction facility to be located on North Birdwood Road. Commissioner Jerry Woodruff moved the measure; Commissioner Chris Bruns seconded it. The motion passed with Commissioners Joe Hewgley, Kent Weems, Chris Bruns and Jerry Woodruff voting yes; Commissioner Micaela Wuehler abstained.
