Dundee Elementary reports testing, transitions and hiring progress

Dundee Elementary Principal Love briefed the board on May 11, 2026 about end-of-year testing, staffing and upcoming student events.
Love said the school completed state assessments and has moved into local testing, hosted transition meetings for students moving from fourth to fifth grade, and is onboarding incoming preschool families to ease transitions. Staff Appreciation Week was celebrated with PTO and Germain Toyota providing meals and teacher totes.
On staffing, Love reported the first round of teaching interviews included ten candidates; the field was narrowed to five and those finalists were invited back for a second round, with assistant-principal interviews scheduled soon. Upcoming student events noted included a fourth-grade recorder program next Monday and a 4th-grade graduation on June 3 on the lawn.
