Clear Creek ISD explains TELPAS testing and how students exit Title III services

Clear Creek ISD federal programs explained that student progress in Title III services is measured once a year with the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS), which evaluates listening, speaking, reading and writing in English. The presenter said parents will receive progress updates at least once a year and that when a student meets the English standards the school asks for parental approval to remove the student from the program.
"Once a year, your child takes the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System, TELPAS, which measures listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English," the presenter said. Families were told exit from services requires school initiation of an exit request and parental approval.
