The Rangely Town Council approved an ordinance amending Municipal Code 15.50 on historical structure preservation and a companion resolution establishing the Rangely Preservation Board and bylaws. The clerk said both items were "recommendations by History Colorado" designed to allow the town to "apply again to get certified as a local government and move that forward," enabling community members and local businesses to pursue preservation grants.
