Council adopts updated community tree code and technical manual

The West Linn City Council on Sept. 8 adopted Ordinance 1765 to amend Municipal Code Chapter 8 related to the community tree code and separately approved updates to the tree technical manual.
Staff members Megan and Kaylee told council the amendments aim for legal compliance, administrative consistency and operational efficiency. Kaylee noted a single typographical error in section 8.620 that staff corrected in the ordinance exhibit. Council approved first and second readings and adopted the ordinance by unanimous roll call; staff also moved and council adopted the technical manual for implementation.
