IT representatives said they were working to identify the model and either replace the battery or the entire unit and that the UPS issue "does not have to wait on the meeting on the 2nd."
The court heard that dispatch machines show failing components and that staff will obtain quotes to replace dispatch desktops; commissioners and staff emphasized the operational criticality of the sheriff's server and dispatch environment and discussed using discretion to replace failing equipment quickly to avoid service interruptions. "We're in the process of taking care of that," a Goldsmith representative said about the UPS and server alarm.
Commissioners asked for prompt follow-up and were told IT will provide quotes and bring replacement requests to the judge and the court as soon as possible.
