During announcements, a board member read a letter from a congressional office and a county conservationist notifying the board that $4,700,000 in proposed appropriations for a dam-decommissioning study was not eligible for consideration by the House Appropriations Committee. The board member said the letter "said unfortunately we have not submitted your project to the Appropriations Committee for consideration in the upcoming federal funding bill because it was not eligible."
