Commission tables Flint Small Subdivision amendment after staff flags access/flag-lot problems

The Planning Commission on May 21 voted to table an amendment to the Flint Small Subdivision (SS26-011) near 20455 North Gunsight Peak Road after staff identified access and lot-line problems.
Staff told commissioners that proposed adjustments to Lots 1 and 2 would create a flag lot configuration that fails to meet the county's flag-lot standards. Staff said county departments had provided comments to the applicant and surveyor on May 11 and were awaiting responses. Planning Chairman Mellonee Wilding said she was not comfortable proceeding without the applicant resolving those issues.
Commissioner Jed Pugsley moved to table the application for up to six months to allow the applicant to respond to staff comments and fix lot lines; Commissioner Jared Holmgren seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Staff advised the applicant has two remediation options: provide a 100-foot access segment within the parcel, or provide frontage along Gunsight Peak Road.
