The Kay County Board approved routine consent items April 27, including the April 20, 2026 meeting minutes; maintenance and operation claims; and blanket purchase orders. The Board also approved payroll with warrants to be released April 29 and May 1, 2026.
Resolutions to deposit funds were approved, including Res#25, 26-114 for Highway District #1 in the amount of $75,440.00 (Statewide County Surplus Auction profits) and Res#25, 26-115 for a Use Tax reimbursement of $9,000.00 from the City of Blackwell for Pictometry. A comprehensive list of purchase orders and claims (vendors and dollar amounts) was read into the record and made available for public inspection in the County Clerk’s Office. Commissioner Jason Shanks had earlier requested the Board proceed to Item 6 while he conferred with the Kaw Nation.
