The commission reviewed a final scoping document for a discretionary Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed Waterside Estates Development (US‑Barefoot Bay, LLC) in Fairview Township. The EIS had been ordered earlier as part of county review of the multi‑parcel proposal. At the hearing the developer requested that the commission table the scoping decision; the commission approved the request to table (7–0).
Tabling defers any county action on the final scoping document while the developer revises materials or prepares additional information. The EIS process and any subsequent scoping changes will determine the scope of environmental review and the topics addressed in environmental analysis for later public review and comment.
