Floyd County notes Public Health hire, dispatcher pay raise and adjusts P&Z administrator pay split
The Board reallocated Planning and Zoning Administrator pay to shift from a 10% planning share to 15% planning (effective March 16, 2026), noted hiring of part-time Public Health RN Megan Kock (effective April 27, 2026), and acknowledged a dispatcher pay increase to $27.76/hr effective March 15, 2026.

The Board approved a change to how the Planning and Zoning Administrator’s salary is allocated among county departments: the minutes show a restructuring from the prior split (85% Board of Health, 10% Planning & Zoning, 5% 911) to a new allocation of 85% Board of Health and 15% Planning & Zoning, effective March 16, 2026. The motion to change the pay allocation was recorded as Rottinghaus/Campbell and carried 3-0.
