Board approves standardization of facility components under Public Contract Code 3400
Arcadia Unified approved a resolution to standardize selected facility products and brands across the district under Public Contract Code 3400; staff said the list (Exhibit A) targets high-use items to improve lifespan, reduce repair time and yield long-term cost savings.

The Arcadia Unified School District board voted May 12 to approve Resolution 25-26-25, which standardizes specified products, materials and equipment used in construction, modernization and repairs under Public Contract Code Section 3400. District facilities staff said the policy narrows items to high-use components (HVAC brands, locks, panic bars, paint and plumbing fixtures) listed in an Exhibit A to the resolution.
