District to Draft Water-Testing Mitigation Plan after School Tests Show Issues; WRMS singled out

The Stevenson-Carson School District will draft a mitigation plan after testing showed concerning water results at its schools, Superintendent Ingrid Colvard told the Board on Aug. 28.
"The water was tested at all the schools," Colvard said, noting the results arrived in two reports, the first dated July 31. She said the district will prepare a mitigation plan and involve the community in deciding which repairs are warranted. Colvard said some WRMS areas of concern are not currently used and the district may cap unused sections rather than repair them immediately. The plan is expected to be presented for board review at the Sept. 11 work session or, at the latest, the Sept. 25 regular meeting.
