Fairgrounds lift station needs replacement; commissioners approve engineering proposal with Lochmueller Group
Jackson County commissioners accepted a design proposal and voted to move forward with a contract for engineering services with Lochmueller Group to address a failing fairgrounds lift station; funds were reported available after Council discussions.

Commissioner Drew Storey reported a Fair Board update that the fairgrounds lift station requires replacement. An engineering firm provided a scope of work, a preliminary estimate and anticipated monthly billing for environmental and Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM)-related tasks. Storey said funds for the project are available following discussions with the County Council.
