Fairgrounds lift station needs replacement; commissioners approve engineering proposal with Lochmueller Group

Commissioner Drew Storey reported a Fair Board update that the fairgrounds lift station requires replacement. An engineering firm provided a scope of work, a preliminary estimate and anticipated monthly billing for environmental and Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM)-related tasks. Storey said funds for the project are available following discussions with the County Council.
Commissioners voted to accept the design proposal and move to contract with Lochmueller Group for engineering services; the motion was made by Storey and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Stauffer and carried with three yes votes. Linda Meyer reported the Fair Board has also installed nine security cameras funded entirely by the Fair Board to improve winter storage security.
