On Feb. 10 the Cayuga County Civil Service Commission adopted and amended a series of class specifications affecting multiple departments. Adopted items included several HELP Program positions (Administrative Officer (Emergency Services), Building Inspector & Code Enforcement Officer, Index and Recording Clerk, Public Health Engineer, Rabies Coordinator, Records Retention Administrator, Veterans Services Officer, and Watershed Coordinator).
During the discussion Kathleen Cuddy, Public Health Director, spoke with the Commission regarding public health positions; following that conversation the Commission approved adoption and amendments for the public health-related specifications and directed staff to notify appointing authorities. All related motions were approved unanimously.
