A member of the public asked whether renewable energy facilities should be listed more specifically in local zoning use tables. Director Hallie Abuayyash and Jason Rasmussen told the Commission that most grid‑connected solar and wind projects are reviewed by the state through the Public Utility Commission process, whereas smaller off‑grid systems are more likely to fall under local zoning review.
