Dale Helwig, Cherokee County's economic development director, briefed the Board on recent activity and introduced Holly Johnson as a new part-time staff member. Helwig reported that multiple grant applications were in process and offered to provide contact information for a regional zoning official assisting with renewable-energy regulations.
