Staff seeks CMGC approach, reports CDOT concurrence for Happy Canyon interchange
Staff briefed council on design alternatives for the Happy Canyon interchange, said CDOT and partners concurred with using a construction manager/general contractor (CMGC) delivery method, and noted the project's TDM report reached a 1.8% reduction versus CDOT's 3% target for more urban interchanges.

The presentation on the Happy Canyon interchange described the project's environmental and delivery planning and why staff are pursuing a construction manager/general contractor (CMGC) approach. "Wednesday of this week, we got concurrence from CDOT RTD to go ahead and do a CMGC," Rebecca said, noting the approach allows a contractor to participate in design for constructability and cost savings.
