Planning staff reports permits and solar project status
Summary
Staff reported June permitting activity and said several county solar projects have structures installed and are finishing final stabilization while awaiting DEQ permits.
Staff presented the monthly building‑inspections report and an update on several solar projects across the county.
For June, staff said there were 13 new home permits, 68 other permits (electrical, plumbing, mechanical and accessory structures), and five certificates of occupancy; total fees collected for June were $11,803.82 with an estimated construction value of $2,823,716. Year to date, staff reported 48 new homes and fees just under $60,000 with an estimated value approaching $5 million.
On solar projects, staff said conditional-use permits and site construction were nearing completion for several projects — including Cox Family Solar, Cumberland Solar, Boston Hills Solar, Plank Road and Hecate — and that those projects are awaiting final site plans and DEQ/state permits before final sign-off.
