Daviess County Central Dispatch adds Virtual Academy policy-management module
Summary
Central Dispatch presented and the commissioners approved an add-on to the existing Virtual Academy agreement to host and retain policies and procedures for staff reference, a change intended to centralize policy access for dispatch personnel.
Julie Riker of Daviess County Central Dispatch described an addendum to the county's existing agreement with Virtual Academy on March 24, saying the add-on provides policy-management capability that lets the dispatch center upload and retain policies for employee reference. "This agreement is for policy management. ... allows Central Dispatch to upload all of their polices and procedures," Riker said.
Commissioners approved the additional agreement with Virtual Academy; TC Cook moved the approval and Michael Keith seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The addendum is intended to supplement the department's existing software and provide a single place for staff to find current and archived policy documents.
