Administrators report summer programs, Backpack approval and end-of-year data
Summary
District administrators reported that Special Education extended-year services are planned, WPES was approved for the Backpack food program for 2026–27, elementary/middle summer school runs June 9–Tues/Thurs 8–11 a.m., and high school summer credit recovery began June 1.
Mrs. Liermann delivered administrative reports noting Student Services counts, completion of time-and-effort logs, and planning for Special Education extended school-year services. She said WPES (West Point Elementary School) has been approved for the Backpack food program for the 2026–27 school year.
Administrators reported elementary and middle summer school will begin June 9 and run Tuesday–Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., while high school summer school began June 1 to serve as credit recovery. Mr. Gross and Mr. Hohenthaner summarized Professional Learning Communities conference takeaways from Tulsa and reported a Lift-A-Thon fundraiser to update the weight room.
