Senator Dickey presented amendments to Senate File 22 84 to limit how automatic license plate reader (ALPR) images and historical location data may be shared. He said the amendment “prohibits a person from providing a copy of a license plate image or other data captured by an ALPR to [a] third party unless the third party is” a peace officer, a contractor for law enforcement, or an insurance‑related entity engaged in fraud investigations.
