The Rowlett City Council presented a proclamation and a state flag to retiring Fire Chief Tim Gauthier, honoring his 27 years with the department and his leadership in achieving best-practices recognition.

Mayor Jeff Winget presented a proclamation recognizing Fire Chief Tim Gauthier’s retirement and thanked him for 27 years of service to the Rowlett Fire Department. The proclamation, read aloud by the mayor, noted Gauthier’s start with the department on 07/20/1998, his promotion to chief on 06/21/2024, and his service on regional best-practice committees that helped the department earn recognition in 2015. State Representative Retta Bowers presented a Texas flag that had been flown over the state capitol in Austin in honor of Gauthier’s service.
