Residents tell Rowlett commission a neighbor's unpermitted structure creates fire and water risks
Two residents told the Rowlett Planning and Zoning Commission that a structure at 6602 Warwick Drive—built with plastic panels and a slab—violates local code, creates a fire bridge and continuous water trespass, and has damaged foundations and property values; they asked the city to abate and remove the structure.

Denise Frolette and Hassan Oujui addressed the Rowlett Planning and Zoning Commission during citizen input to say a structure at 6602 Warwick Drive creates immediate life-safety and property problems and that code enforcement has failed to remedy the situation. Frolette said the structure both violates setback requirements and creates a fire hazard.
