Planning commission extends Parkview subdivision approvals while developer seeks funding

The Peekskill Planning Commission voted to grant an extension for approvals tied to Parkview Development Construction’s four‑lot commercial subdivision at 1005–1017 Lower South Street and a portion of 120 Travis Lane, saying the project is on hold while the applicant pursues funding.
“My understanding is they're seeking funding and they're waiting for their funding sources to complete the project,” the chair said during the Aug. 13 meeting. The commission moved, seconded and the extension passed by voice vote; the chair said the matter will return to the commission in November to coincide with the site‑plan expiration and the subdivision renewal process.
Commissioners said they did not know an exact funding timeline and that state approvals or program enrollments are the primary source of delay. By granting the extension now, the commission left the project able to pursue funding without restarting the local approvals process.
