Robert Sullivan, president of Woods 3 & Westchester Homeowners Association, asked the council when the city will replace or pay for failed water meters on his property. Sullivan said the city agreed in 2017 to pay for meter replacements when meters failed, recounted multiple recent meter failures (including May and August 2024), and said repeated phone calls and emails to the water department had gone unanswered. He urged prompt action and better customer service given his association’s significant annual water fees.
City Manager (speaker 2) replied that he had met with water department staff and legal and was reviewing email correspondence and past resolutions dating back to 2017. He promised to provide Sullivan with an answer soon after completing his review. Sullivan pressed for an answer in the meeting; the city manager said he would follow up this week.
