SWCD wins 60-day extension on Redpath replacement plan; water testing kits available

Sara Gronfeld, District Administrative Manager for the Soil and Water Conservation District, provided multiple program updates to the Board. She said the office received one new SSTS permit application and one application for the SSTS Low-Income Upgrade Grant; funding remains available. Under the Wetland Conservation Act the Local Government Road Wetland Replacement Program application has been completed.
The Board approved a 60-day temporary extension for the Redpath Project Replacement Plan on a motion by Commissioner Chad Metz, seconded by Commissioner Dwight Nelson. Gronfeld also reported updates on the Bois de Sioux–Mustinka watershed plan and informed commissioners that Horizon Public Health is offering drinking-water testing kits and mitigation grant information at the SWCD office.
