Chris Thomas, Jordan County Fire Warden, told the commissioners that the State Forester has opened a Forest Health Grant Program that could fund projects aimed at forest health, water improvement and habitat protection. "The state has off has now opened up the Forest Health Grant Program," Thomas said, adding that the program is broadly eligible and appears to reimburse about 75% of approved project costs.
