Council approves final payment and $71,000 decrease for Highway 12 water-main project

City Engineer Jared Vogi said change order No. 1 reconciles final contract quantities and reduces the contract amount by $71,000. He recommended approval of the final payment and the change order, and council members moved and voted to accept the recommendation. “Ultimately, what change order number 1 does is it reconciles the final contract quantities and costs to the contract amount, and it is a change order, decrease in the amount of $71,000,” Vogi said.
The packet included final closeout documents such as consent surety and lien waivers, which staff said were in order. Council approved the payment and change order by unanimous vote. Staff said this action completes the project closeout steps in the packet; no further timeline or outstanding contractor claims were raised during the discussion.
