Court approves funds to replace failed jail boiler after structural damage

Major Delgado told the court the boiler experienced structural damage and must be replaced, and that this is the second boiler to fail: "This is the 2nd 1 out of the 3, so we only have 1 left," he said. Delgado said the failure was structural to the tank and not related to ancillary hardware; commissioners approved the requested transfer by motion.
The transfer moves contingency funds to cover the replacement and staff said they hope the remaining boiler will last through the next year. No contract details or replacement cost were specified in the meeting record.
