The board approved several facilities and construction items on the consent agenda and during discussion: a Balfour Beatty construction amendment and restatement for program and construction management services for Jan. 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 passed with Trustees Anderson, Eisenhauer and Martin voting yes and Trustee Mejia voting no. The board approved KBZ Architectural Services for shade structures at Rio Lindo and Rio Real school sites.
Trustees approved a proposal from Venco Electric, Inc. for new exterior lighting at Rio Rosales (motion carried with Trustees Kristine Anderson, Alesia Martin and Emmanuel Mejia voting yes and Trustee Felix Eisenhauer voting no). The board also approved a proposal from Omega Construction Company, Inc. for Room 13 new office partition walls at Rio Real Elementary; that motion passed with Trustees Kristine Anderson, Felix Eisenhauer and Alesia Martin voting yes and Trustee Mejia voting no. President Eisenhauer had earlier pulled item 10.15 for discussion before it returned to the consent vote.
