Planner Kelly Robuffo described a package of code amendments intended to implement programs from the city’s 6th‑cycle housing element. The ADU changes clarify measurement and design standards, adjust landscape requirements to match underlying zoning and incorporate administrative updates to align with 2024 ADU regulations. Robuffo said Planning Commission recommended adding the island's on‑demand 'Coast' service to the municipal definition of public transit so more properties could qualify for state parking exemptions.
