Crow Wing County board updates data-request policy to limit repeat requests
The board approved a narrow change to the county's data-request policy: if a requester fails to inspect or collect prepared records within five days of notification, the county will not process additional requests from that requester until the original request is closed.

The Crow Wing County Board on July 22 approved a minor but specific change to its data-request policy, required by statute to be reviewed annually. The county administrator said the policy, adopted in September 2024, now includes a provision that prevents repeat requests from a requester who fails to pick up prepared records within five days of notice.
