Sheriff reports tornado damage; roads reopened and FEMA assessment planned

The county sheriff updated the board on a recent storm response: several roads had trees and debris down, an early estimate put power outages at around 2,000 residents before utility crews restored service to most, and county and local emergency crews cleared roads overnight. “There was a lot of trees down, a lot of damage,” the sheriff said, and emphasized there were no reported injuries.
