Sheriff's office celebrates two K‑9 teams earning national narcotics certification

"Both of our dogs that competed last week came out as certified national drug dog detection," Andy said, adding that the newest dog, Raya, and handler Nick Sensor placed eighth overall and fifth in vehicle detection.
The chief deputy framed the accomplishment as a point of pride for the department and suggested the national certification reflects well on the county's training and capabilities. No additional operational requests or budget items tied to the K‑9 program were raised during the update.
