County adopts updated Delinquent Tax Revolving Fund policy
The Montmorency County Board approved Resolution 2026-03 updating use, reserve, and surplus-transfer rules for the Delinquent Tax Revolving Fund, including a mandatory reserve calculation and an annual surplus process to be completed after the audit.

The Montmorency County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 22 adopted Resolution 2026-03, which replaces prior DTRF guidance and formalizes procedures for calculating reserves and transferring surplus. The board amended section three of the draft policy during discussion to include the phrase "but not limited to," broadening the enumerated allowable costs in the adopted policy.
