County engineer reports progress on multiple bridge and paving projects

Jackson County Engineer Jaden Sheck updated the board on active construction. He said rails had been poured on a 450th Avenue bridge near Preston, grading and riprap work were scheduled, and paving crews were sequentially completing lane work on the Springbrook Highway bridge approaches. He cautioned that final dates are weather-dependent and dependent on subcontractor schedules.
Sheck also said Channelworth/Copeland River work has substructure and piers in place but that high river levels are delaying beam-setting operations. He noted the Bernard Road paving project was progressing well and expected to be wrapped up within days, barring weather or plant issues.
