Commission pauses old-jail work, completes remaining jail contract with evacuation exception and seeks new architect
Following an update on jail renovation issues including smoke evacuation and asbestos, the commission voted 12-0 to complete the outstanding jail contract except for work on evacuation in the old detention area and to regroup with a new architect and contractor for the remaining scope.
