The Douglas County Forest, Parks & Recreation Committee on Feb. 23 approved a request from North Country Trail Races to hold its second 10k/20k fundraiser on Douglas County Wildlife Area property on April 18, 2026. The meeting packet included a race route and a note that the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) had already granted approval.
