Commission forwards recommendation to create 2,205-acre Agriculture Protection Area
The planning commission unanimously recommended that the county commission create Agriculture Protection Area APA26-02, a roughly 2,205-acre grouping of previously rezoned parcels across Riverside, Fielding and the area north of Garland to Plymouth, protecting agricultural zoning on those lands.

On June 18 planning commissioners voted unanimously to forward a recommendation to create Agriculture Protection Area APA26-02, a collection of parcels totaling about 2,205 acres across Riverside, Fielding and north of Garland to Plymouth, after staff and the applicants (the Capeners and neighbors) completed prior rezones to Agriculture Heritage Zone (AHZ).
