Facilities Authority enters executive session on multiple lawsuits, reconvenes with no action

The Comanche County Facilities Authority voted March 30 to enter executive session pursuant to 25 O.S., §307(B)(4) to consult with counsel regarding multiple pending litigation matters and an open-records request. The board listed specific cases on the agenda for confidential discussion and noted counsel could appear telephonically.

The cases identified for executive-session discussion included Joseph Gonzalez, as personal representative of the estate of Tshante Gonzalez v. Comanche County Facilities Authority, CIV-24-1022-D (Western District of Oklahoma); Charles Jones, as personal representative of the estate of Matthew Tyler Jones v. Comanche County Facilities Authority, 25CV-385-PRW (Western District of Oklahoma); Veronica Warner Calloway, as personal representative of the estate of Cari James Warner, Sr. v. Comanche County Facilities Authority, 25-CV-00858-SLP (Western District of Oklahoma); Gray Media Group, Inc. d/b/a KSWO-TV and Seth Marsicano v. Comanche County Facilities Authority, CV-2024-145 (Comanche County, Oklahoma); and an open-records matter submitted by Kelli Goodnight for the estate of Rickey Morphis. After the executive session the board reconvened and Chairman Johnny Owens moved that the authority take no action at this time; the motion carried and no further action was taken on the agenda item.
