The Nobles County Board on Aug. 5 adopted Resolution 202532 accepting the Reading Sewer Service District wastewater facilities plan developed with Stantec.
Stantec engineer Joe Palen reviewed the proposed facilities plan during a public hearing the board opened and closed the same day; the board recorded no public comment. The resolution to accept the plan was moved by Commissioner Justin Ahlers and seconded by Commissioner Chris Dybevick and was recorded as duly passed.
The plan addresses establishing a public sanitary sewer system for the village of Reading within Summit Lake Township, a project that county staff and state and federal partners have worked on for more than a decade, the presentation noted. The hearing provided a formal opportunity for public input and moved the project forward by memorializing the board's acceptance of the facilities plan via Resolution 202532.
