Yates County posts final assessment rolls; appeals window and digital records work outlined
Real Property reported that the final assessment rolls were posted July 1, outlined appeal paths (small claims and Article 7) with 30-day filing windows, and said staff will continue digitizing assessment rolls and property record cards into Laserfiche.

Meghan Kincaid, Real Property, told the Finance Committee that the final assessment rolls "Came out on July 1st." She explained that the final roll will include changes from Grievance Day and described the options owners have to challenge assessments: small claims or Article 7 actions can be filed within 30 days of the final roll and must be filed at the County Clerk’s office with required paperwork filed in a timely manner.
