The Vernon County Commission on Aug. 26, 2025, reviewed ongoing coordination with the Federal Emergency Management Agency related to disaster declaration DR-4872 from the April 2 tornadoes. Presiding Commissioner Joe Wilson and County Clerk Adrienne Lee reported meeting with FEMA Program Delivery Manager Sheneka Kirlew on Aug. 22 to stay current on the declaration’s status and program delivery steps.
