Elementary principal Lilly Martin updated the board on enrollment and school activities at the April 29 meeting. She reported that a recent fund run raised $12,000 through student efforts and community donations and that kindergarten registration is currently open with enrollment numbers consistent with previous years.
Martin also told the board that Smarter Balanced testing is scheduled in the coming weeks and that the school will mark Teacher Appreciation Week with scheduled activities. Staff were asked to complete a survey on achievement of institutional goals; the leadership team will analyze the results to set objectives for the next academic year.
The principal noted the Cub Chorus held an evening performance and that a parent-provided form will be used to gather information for class placement next year.
