Twisp Town Council voted unanimously Sept. 10 to approve TwispFest and the associated temporary road closures after a presentation by event organizers.
Hillary Ketchum and Anita Lince gave a brief presentation explaining TwispFest. Council Member Tim Matsui made a motion to approve TwispFest and the road closures as presented; Council Member Will Menzies seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Council Member Katrina Auburn participated virtually and could hear the meeting but did not speak.
The approval authorizes event organizers to close specified streets for the festival (specific streets were described by presenters) and directs staff to coordinate public-safety needs and traffic control for the event. The council did not take additional action or amend the organizers' proposal; no conditions or vote tallies beyond "passed unanimously" were recorded.
